Mars Rover 2020 Ready to Roll

NASA’s latest Mars Rover has passed its autonomic driving tests and is ready to be launched to explore the red planet in July or August of 2020.

It is scheduled to travel further and conduct many more experiments than previous rover explorers. It will search for signs of past microbial life, characterize Mars’ climate and geology, collect samples for future return to Earth, and pave the way for human exploration of the Red Planet.

It is scheduled to land in an area of Mars known as Jezero Crater on Feb. 18, 2021.
